When Scandal Hits Celebs

When Scandal hits Celebrities it keeps the entire world on their toes to know the truth behind it. It’s interesting to know how the scandal wrecked the good image of some well known illustrious person. For some celeb it’s just another day at the office but for some it’s the most embarrassing part of their life. Some take advantage of it at the expense of other’s life and social image while some prefer to be the other way.

In recent times its been all Marital Infidelities that ruled the news arena. Firstly, it was the great Tiger Woods Scandal and then same storm has hit the England National team captain and the top paid EPL player John Terry. Interestingly, scandal hit them at the time when both were at their personal best, but there is world of difference between their personalities.

Tiger wood was considered to the Perfect Husband any women could desire, Perfect father any kid would want and in all a Perfect Man as projected by the news world. He was so often photographed with his wife and children and was the epitome of what many call the “happy family”. This was the status-quo for many years until one day he was stuck by the most unexpected case of infidelity. The news spread like a wild fire. There are also reports that it just infiltrated into the minds of people of all ages and was the most talked subject on the social networking sites resulting in jammed servers.

The fact is that the Perfect Man image of Tiger Woods was annihilated. This Infamous Magnum opus of the illustrious and industrious legendary golfer was introduced into the public by the media with much hoopla.

Initially, the centre of the furore was one lady and later many mushroomed claiming for publicity and fame and rewards. The news media threw cash on them to encash the opportunity for increasing the reader base of the journal.

The outcome was the defamed Tiger wood, who lost his sponsors, his wife, his family, his kids and his golfing career. He has taken a undeclared time break from his golfing life and has disappeared into realm of depression and loneliness. Was he deserved to be treated this was by the Media whereby posing a big question mark on the Freedom of Press. This question needs to be answered if not now but definitely in the future.

Well John Terry too was hit by the same storm. Unlike Tiger Wood, John Terry did not have Perfect Man image. He was often characterized by the media as a Bad boy. He was questioned many times by the press on Infidelities. He was also involved in brawls in Pubs and also other socially criticized abusive behaviour. Fortunately for him, his fame as a successful football player overshadowed his immoral side. He became the captain of England National side soon after Beckham relinquished the role. In 2004, he became the Chelsea Captain and is the top paid Player of EPL. And now again, he under the radar of marital infidelities, he struggles to keep his private life away from his professional football career. In the recent EPL match he was booed by his fans but again he proved himself by heading the winning goal. While the Chelsea coach says he is not interested to know what happens in Terry's private life and pledged to support him as he believes Terry is a true Professional.

Meanwhile, some news channel has offered an undisclosed amount of money to the lady under the spotlight of this scandal. They want her speak in public about their illegal affair and further lurid details of their relationship.

What adds fuel to the fire is that the lady around whom the allegation is revolving is the ex-girlfriend of a Manchester City team player who might make it to the England national team. In such a situation, England coach, the Italian who is widely known for his disciplinarian character would strip off Terry of his Captaincy if he believes Terry’s private life could disturb the harmony and unity of the team. Either ways, John Terry as I Know is a very Professional and a true stalwart of the game football he will overcome these dark patches of his life to be a force to reckon with for both Chelsea and team England in the coming World Cup.

Isn’t it Interesting different people when struck by same events respond in absolutely different manner. For some its just another event and they tackle it the most efficient manner whilst for other it ruins their life completely because they let others control and hurt them,in either case being celebs they attract unprecedented attention of the world.

ManU versus Arsenal

ManU versus Arsenal that took place on 31st Jan 2010, which was suppose to be the one of the biggest match of the season turned most depressing at least for the Arsenal fans(Ideally I would have preferred a draw). It clearly showed the staggering difference between the two teams ability to Score goals, defend and make play in the midfield.

Undoubtedly before the game , Manchester United was apprehensive about the outcome of the game in the absence of Vidic and Ferdinand. Their fears subsided when they dominated the game in all departments and left arsenal confused (as usual). Even though Arsenal got many chances they missed in the most deplorable manner, thanks to Arshavin, Fabregas and Song. Whereas ManU gained strength as game progressed and with the unexpected brilliance of the Duo Nani and Rooney together they made it spectacular day for the ManU fans.

Well, ManU recent form with Rooney scoring crucial goals and Nani's unprecedented form sends depressing waves to Chelsea, the current league leaders. If the current performance of the both the teams continue then we are on for a treat on April 3 Old Trafford, where Chelsea take on the Ded evils...ooh sorry Red Devils. From a neutral man’s viewpoint, I hope the best team on that day to win but being a Chelsea aficionado for years now and can’t definitely see Chelsea beaten by ManU. It just brings back those memories of champion league final when John terry missed the crucial goal scoring chance in the penalty shootout and undeserved won the champion’s league. Since then when ever Chelsea plays against ManU I badly want Chelsea to trounce and crush them, I hope it will happen this April at Old Trafford.

Intriguing International Relationships

To maintain a good relationship with your neighbours is of paramount importance for the mutual existence of all in any region. If a country tries to attain absolute security, it indirectly leads to the increased insecurity of the neighbouring countries. Therefore, undoubtedly having a good international policy is of high value in the world arena.

As far as India is concerned, it has always been around the tough neighbors may it be Pakistan, Bangladesh or China. Ever since Indian mainland was divided into India and Pakistan, India has experienced unabated military treat from Pakistan. Pakistan claim of Muslim majority Kashmir can be one of the reasons for their vying attempts to acquire that part of India. Amid this commotion China infiltrated whenever possible to grab all they can along the boundary. They still claim a large part of land on the boundary area of eastern J&K, Arunachal Pradesh and recently highly irrational claim of Arunachal Pradesh itself. Well to be very frank it is the most unwarranted and gibberish claim I ever heard in my lifetime.

In Recent times things have not changed much. China becomes more adamant on their claims. Dalai Lama’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh attracted extra attention and serious point of contention. One good outcome was that PM, Manmohan Singh came out all guns blazing to clearly convey to China that the so called claimed land is the Integral Part of India and China Objection to Dalai Lama’s Visit was confronted with strong rational and truly diplomatic Statements.

Meanwhile, Pakistan was trying to conspire with the Taliban to get back what they believe was their land, Kashmir. Unfortunate to say, they were stung by terrorism with America talking the lead to wipe out what they believe is their right since 9/11 attack.. America made it clear to Pakistan that the real treat to Pakistan is not India but the Taliban inside. The fact is that, Pakistan will never agree to that truth but now things have changed a lot. Taliban now has turned against the state Pakistan which along with US is on a mission to eradicate Taliban and all other institutions of terrorism. Needless to say, Pakistan is in a big mess only time can say what it will get crafted into.

Military support given to Pakistan by US as a part of fight against terrorism is of high importance to India as the intelligence report suggests that these aids are more frequently used against India rather than Terrorist groups. US intention to wipe out terrorism from Pakistan and provide absolute security to Pakistan is of grave concern to India as more secure Pakistan with latest weapons in their inventory is utmost danger to India. History speaks volumes on this phenomenon that whenever Pakistan gets a Chance to Poke India it has never refrained from doing so. This means that India should beef up its arsenals to combat this psychology barrier.

Interestingly, China is also encapsulated by the same phenomenon. The recent stand of US to sell military weapons of latest types to Taiwan has created a row of argumentative confabulation between America and China. China contends that the increased military power of Taiwan is of utmost danger to China and has cautioned US of further weakening of relationship with it if US go further on with the sale.

Epitomizing, for harmony and peace to exist in a region, its not absolute or increased security of a every country that will contribute to the cause but a rational consensus among the countries of concern is the only solution.

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara V/s Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara

The new version of the almost national anthem of INDIA Mile sur Mera Tumhara ,Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara was not that promising. The original version spearheaded a unified force India projecting national integrity through its diversity. The old composition was impeccable. Unfortunately, the new version failed to touch the hearts of many Indians. It lacked the spirit of India. Ever since it’s been released, video has been on the radar of
denunciatory criticism of the whole nation. The inclusion of the large number of Bollywood and other regional actors questioned the maker of the contribution of these people to the actual India. Well I’m not over looking the effort of the makers to show the young and growing India. Definitely with time things should change and should be incorporated but at the same time it should reflect the reality. Cricket is a religion in India Sachin’s Century is celebrated countrywide and it cuts through class, religion and caste. Where is Sachin in the video??.Dr Abdul Kalam, our former president may be the most influential president of all times, a true warrior of science and knowledge. His Contribution to India is unquestionable and most appreciated. Likewise there are many people who should have been in the video and deserved to be a part of this legendary composition.

Or may be the video actually reflects the true Indians of the contemporary world . We value more of Bollywood than real people (Dr Abdul Kalam). We glue to the TV to watch half naked Deepika Padukone to a talk of Dr.Abdul Kalam or Ratan Tata. May be its true we are cruising towards the western way of living where rationality takes a back seat.

The iWorld.

Can you recall the giant eye in the movie Lord of the Rings, ‘the’ eye that is invariably monitoring everyone. One cannot hide himself from the eye . The Apple Inc is something similar. One cannot simply take your eye of their product, one cannot hide his desire to own one. Like the eye in the movie, it is in the continuous quest for those crucial desirous vibes from the people and comes up with the technological solution that suits their requirement and brings utmost content with great simplicity. Seriously, simplicity is the other word for Apple.

Just like “one ring: in LOTR was forged to rule the world, Apple created the “ i” to rule all. Interestingly when “ i “ is there as the prefix it just dominates everything like the iPHONE ,iPOD and now the iPAD.Well if the eye in LOTR represents something unpleasant ,“ i” of Apple is truly god like and immaculate. Its all been revolutionary and with simplicity as its premise. Truly commanding respect it continues on the voyage of bringing smiles on million faces who appreciates simplicity in this virtual digital world.

WHAT IF’s

I’m always in the quest to know the other side of every experience and the weirdest possibilities of events that could have happened. Like what if Mallika Sherawat was Manmohan Singh’s daughter who was one of the victim of Australian Assault on Indians ?? What if nuclear bomb was dropped in America ,when James Cameroon as American President?? What, when, where, how all interest me like the last ball of a cricket match where India require one run to win and with Ishant Sharma batting. So I decided to jot down some “What if” question which I thought would interest some people who like to ponder on random things (Some are weird ...kindly forgive me if I mortified, petrified and stupefied you...) so here we go….

1. What if Germany had won the 2nd world war??

2. What if Adolf Hitler was a American president and Bush as “Saddam Hussain" of Iraq??

3. What if Mahatma Gandhi was killed in the initial Independence Movement march

itself ??And Bhagat Singh, Subash Chandra Bose had never got hanged or killed??

4. What if India was not divided and Muslims were in Majority in India with M.Ali Jinnah our Father of Nation??

5. What if Sachin Tendulkarr was a world class football player playing for ManchesterUnited??

6. What if you could control Obama’s Dream?? Or Osama’s dream??Or anybody’s dream??

7. What if Internet crashed tomorrow?? Or What if tomorrow onwards Google charges every user for their services??

8. What if you were born as a male and slowly changes into a female as you Grow old??

Or the other way around??

9. What if Malayalam was our national language and Manglish the most Spoken international language??

10. What if earth stop’s rotating?? Or new earth is explored in our solar System?

11. What if one could change their body as they change their clothes??

12. What if we could breathe Co2?? Or What if automobiles could run on water??

13. What if I Ruppees is equal to 100 dollar??i.e. 1 paise =1 Dollar

14. What if Karl Marx and LK Advani were contemporaries and great Friends??

15. What if Einstein was “Steven Spielberg of Bollywood” with Rajnikanth playing

the protagonist in all his movies??

16. What if girls loathed the colour “pink” and were dominant in society?

And "Sati" was associated with self-sacrifice of Husband??

17. What if Bal Thackeray was born in U.P as Mayawati’s son??

18. What if actually Rakhi Sawant fasted for not being involved in the

Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara video??

19. What if Lalu Prasad Yadav was UN secretary General and was allowed to

deliver his discourse in Hindi??

20. What if I was not writing this??

Well…u got me. This part of my life is called “Absolute Joblessness”…or frustrated and irritated with useless monotonous work.

On the quest of conquering Moon, Women, Democracy and......malnutrition?????

Chandrayaan-1

Getting started is a big thing and in this regard Chandrayaan-1 has done its job. But we should not be complacent, should understand the problems faced by the craft and try to find out the best possible solution to it. The technical problems faced by the control system, power supply and sensor failures, and other challenges of radiation and temperature require critical analysis. This reiterates the fact that we definitely need huge capital and potential human resource investment in the research and development field to provide us with the superior technologies that help us conquer new heights. And this is the real challenge for the policy makers to strike a balance between problems of present and challenges of future.

Woman Reservation bill

Its really a welcome move. Gender inequity has been a major hindrance on our path to overall development. With this move of the government, women who constitute almost 50% of population will be more encouraged to participate in the state mechanism of growth. One very good thing about involving more women is that it will pave way for their empowerment and at the same time reduce the amount of corruption in the system (which is a serious concern of Administrative system of India). At the same time the state should encourage more women below poverty level to participate so that the benefits reach the needful. We should also be careful that this 50% reservation is not misused, there are been instances were seats are occupied by women of higher class and caste who are controlled by their husband and thus again depriving the deserved. If this condition can be tided over then this reservation bill is for a prime cause of women empowerment and definitely the road to inclusive growth. With this ideology of good governance and people participation UPA government is doing a good job and no political party who supports India’s development can go against this bill.

Victory of democracy

The biggest achievement of India after 62 years of independence is the survival of Democracy and the latest evidence of this is statement made by the CJI to disclose the assets of all the judges including the CJI. This has definitely reiterated the fact that the power vest in the hands of people and no dictatorship in any form is possible. This incident has another hidden dimension also, this particular declaration is not an effect of any legislation by the parliament but it is promulgated by the Judiciary itself through its internal mechanism. This has certainly sent a strong message that Judiciary is Independent and will always act for the welfare and for protecting the interest of people. Its changing face of being more transparent and accountable should be appreciated in its true sense. I am pretty much sure that the statement of the apex court will become a benchmark for the lower courts to follow. And if this encourages our Administrative system to act along the same line then nothing like that. Epitomizing, the changing face of Judiciary is true example of victory of democracy and will of people, which is the soul of our constitution.

The Unsaid story

Everybody knows about Chandrayaan-1, Women reservation bill and the latest statements by the CJI and Swine Flu, and the real problem of India is yet again over-shadowed.

Seriously it is a shame for India that 50% of children under the age of five are malnourished and accounts for the nearly 40% of world’s malnourished children. This a real treat to India’s dream of being a developed country, after all, these children are the future citizens who have to take India to the new heights. It’s very much true that we are inured to statistics and neglect the real problem. If the same seriousness of Swine flu and chandrayaan is shown towards solving the issue of malnutrition, then we can claim that we are on the path of development. It’s the wake up call and real challenge for the policy makers to identify the right chords to strike, to make the perfect sound of social harmony, growth and development. Its time to decide how we tackle this national treat to stir our way to establish ourselves as the fourth dimension;U.S.A,Russia,China and India.

JUDICIARY AND DADAGIRI.

Changing face of Judiciary

The recent declaration by the K G Balakrishnan, chief justice of India on the disclosure of the assets of the judges of the Supreme Court is a welcome move towards accountability and transparency of Judiciary. Judiciary was always conceived unreachable for common people when it comes to issues of this kind. The information of assets and other similar matters were even immune to RTI , but with this proclamation of disclosing the assets of all the judges including CJI, judiciary has set a example which would be appreciated with high moral accolades. If this would encourage our administrators to think along the same line then nothing like that. Summarizing, Judiciary has contended that it’s a institution which complies to accountability and transparency to reflect the example of good governance.

DADRI: Dadagiri or Gandhigiri

What do you call the Dadri story ;DADAGIRI or GANDHIGIRI. The plight of the farmers whose lands were taken away on the name of power plant project which is a part of development plans of the government draws the picture of inability of the government to understand the vibrancy of heart and frequency of the minds of these neglected people of the society. Government had planned to build a gas based power plant in Dadri as a part of their power revolution projects. Reliance power (RPL)has won the project and compensation price for land was finalized at deplorable figure just 135 rupees per sq m whereas the land price in Greater Noida phase 2 is 15000/- per sq m. Simultaneously ,the land is very fertile because its between Ganga and Yamuna and farmers feel nothing can replace this asset of theirs. They have started a strike against the authorities to get back their land which they claim was forcefully taken away from them and many are ready to lay down their lives against this illegal acquisition. When RPL explains this as a cheap tactics of its competitors, the real question remains: Was this the development of farmers and peasants Gandhiji referring to??

Jaswant singh,shashi Tharoor....and Reeda Shaikh.

Clean bowled: Jaswant singh
Jinnah-India,partition,Independence what a book, well I have not read it but the feathers it ruffled with its entry into oval ground of controversial books was very evident with its impact on the Indian politics. The incidents if compiled scrupulously can be edited into the second part of the same book with a the title Jaswant-India,partition,Independence. Well his partition from BJP,which is a sinking ship is definitely a sigh of freedom. But banning of his books is highly condemnable, this act by the C.M of Gujarat is direct transgression of the freedom of expression conferred upon the people by the constitution of India. The C.M,who once abbreviated C.M as “COMMOM MAN’, does not understand the meaning of fundamental rights given to the COMMON man, It’s really unpleasing.

Ente Pere Shashi,Shashi Tharoor
Well Shashi Tharoor has become a household name in urban India and very soon his efforts of good governance through a congress ticket would definitely fetch him the same phrase in rural India. A well read and travelled man, certainly knows what he speaks and more importantly a wise man who is a part of solution than a problem. Well his foray into Indian politics, which is considered the battle ground of crooks and cowards, has reiterated the need for people of real caliber to streamline India to the actual path of social and economic development. One good thing that congress as done in the last election, is definitely the introduction of Shashi Tharoor to the political arena. It time to prove how the legendry Shashi Tharoor unfolds his visions and imagination for the betterment of his own land; India.

Reeda Shaikh????.......

Well Shahsi Tharoor ,Jaswant singh’s are common heard names, but the real India and the real problems are always the forgotten. Reeda sheikh is a 14- old girl, first to succumb to the most brutal endemic disease, SWINE FLU. As on 24 th august 74 have died due to this Influenza. The big question is that has the union government done enough to control the spread of this disease.Gulam Nabi Azad, our Health Minister asserts that he has things under control. In a land of 100 crore people,to control a epidemic disease is a real challenge for any minister and the people has to cooperate and more importantly, should not panic as Swine flu is curable disease, one should be alert and wise get it diagnosed at the earliest. The delay in diagnosing can pay way to more Reeda Shaikhs .So lets not push the panic button rather lets spread the awareness of the symptoms of Flu and the belief that it is curable among the masses to regain the harmony of the society.

S.M KRISHNA :YO MAN!! E.U.M.A

The most important agreement signed during the visit of US secretary of states ,Hillary Clinton was the End use Monitoring Agreement (EUMA).It empowers United states officer from Pentagon ,to perform timely inspection of the weapons ,devices and technology imported from US ,to check if the end use of these comply with the purpose for which it is imported.

S.M Krishna, the external affairs minister of India explains signing of EUMA as victory for India ,as two years of back breaking negotiation with US has earned dividends. US has agreed to the India’s clause, that the inspection would be done at the place and time, mutually agreed by the two nation and not at the discretion of US. Even though our external minister is confident that this clause would safeguard India’s security concerns, the Army, Navy and Air force chiefs have shown utmost concern over this issue. This has become a heated issue in the parliament after Mr. Manmohan Singh’s statements supporting the agreement raised a few eye brows and invited ferocious counter arguments. Fellow parliamentarians showed concern, anger and great need for rational rethinking on the issue.

The concerns are many and danger to India’s security may be lurking on every bend of the agreement. The primary concern being the US officer can inspect each and every weapon, devices and even technology that is being imported from US. It is highly impractical and most often impossible to separate out technology or may be a device that has been imported and installed in already established indigenous systems, in India’s high security zones. Even if it is separated out for inspection , what is the guarantee that it will adhere back to the system again effectively. If such situation arises, then the only way out for the US officers to check the end use ,will be by accessing this high security Indian zones. This is a direct encroachment to India defense system and its internal secrets. Another aspect of this is the Indigenous softwares used in these established systems might be of superior technology, which might have been unknown to US, would come to their knowledge with this kind of end-use inspections.

Secondly, may be the more importantly ,no other country from whom India has been importing weapons ,had never asked for any end use agreement compliance .Russia being a long time friend of India and major source of weapons, device and technology that India is still using ,has never asked for any end use agreement. The sukhoi 30 MKI ,fighter jets purchased from Russia is one of the latest in technology and is superiority is been appreciated by even US. The latest introduction of INS Arihant, nuclear powered submarine by Indian navy, owes a lot to the support extended by Russia on the technological know-how and with design level expertise. It is not just Russia that we import weapons, other European countries like France are also a part of the pool of nations from were we import and they never asked for any EUMA agreement. By signing this EUMA of US, have we send a wrong message to our existing friends?. Tomorrow if EUMA is adopted by Russian and later by other nations, then logically India would be forced to comply to maintain the relationship. If this happens then, signing of EUMA of US would be the strategic flaw in Indian history.

The antithesis to this would be the philosophy of strengthening ties with US .India understands the need for having a strategic relationship with US and this agreement would definitely help in cementing the bonds. America see India as a strategic point through which it can control Asia and India foresees a rapid development with this relationship. The worsening of relationship with Russia over the Admiral Gorshkov deal gives relationship with America, a new dimension. Now a million dollar question arises, Is India compromising its principles of Non-Alignment for its interest of rapid devleopment and eventually forgetting its old friends as it strives to become the fourth dimension; US, Russia, china and India?

Its obvious EUMA has paved way to rethink our international polices,
India should not be a cause of another polarization of the world. The leaders of the country should handle this in such a manner that ,its exclusive to India and at the same time there is a dire requirement of reconsideration on EUMA. It has its share of advantages and disadvantages, it will be beneficial only if India can tide over its pernicious clauses which are sobering concern for our security and sovereignty. Definitely the future lies in the hands of the intellectuals of this country ,whom we elected , to produce the best for the country. Shashi Tharoor has written in one of his books The great Indian elephant has awaken from his deep slumber of over 50 years and its slowly changing into a tiger, with heart and size of an elephant but still young and proactive in first decade of the 21st century, its time to say whether the stripes on the elephant grows to permanency or whether it will fade away, forever.
