Jaswant singh,shashi Tharoor....and Reeda Shaikh.

Clean bowled: Jaswant singh
Jinnah-India,partition,Independence what a book, well I have not read it but the feathers it ruffled with its entry into oval ground of controversial books was very evident with its impact on the Indian politics. The incidents if compiled scrupulously can be edited into the second part of the same book with a the title Jaswant-India,partition,Independence. Well his partition from BJP,which is a sinking ship is definitely a sigh of freedom. But banning of his books is highly condemnable, this act by the C.M of Gujarat is direct transgression of the freedom of expression conferred upon the people by the constitution of India. The C.M,who once abbreviated C.M as “COMMOM MAN’, does not understand the meaning of fundamental rights given to the COMMON man, It’s really unpleasing.

Ente Pere Shashi,Shashi Tharoor
Well Shashi Tharoor has become a household name in urban India and very soon his efforts of good governance through a congress ticket would definitely fetch him the same phrase in rural India. A well read and travelled man, certainly knows what he speaks and more importantly a wise man who is a part of solution than a problem. Well his foray into Indian politics, which is considered the battle ground of crooks and cowards, has reiterated the need for people of real caliber to streamline India to the actual path of social and economic development. One good thing that congress as done in the last election, is definitely the introduction of Shashi Tharoor to the political arena. It time to prove how the legendry Shashi Tharoor unfolds his visions and imagination for the betterment of his own land; India.

Reeda Shaikh????.......

Well Shahsi Tharoor ,Jaswant singh’s are common heard names, but the real India and the real problems are always the forgotten. Reeda sheikh is a 14- old girl, first to succumb to the most brutal endemic disease, SWINE FLU. As on 24 th august 74 have died due to this Influenza. The big question is that has the union government done enough to control the spread of this disease.Gulam Nabi Azad, our Health Minister asserts that he has things under control. In a land of 100 crore people,to control a epidemic disease is a real challenge for any minister and the people has to cooperate and more importantly, should not panic as Swine flu is curable disease, one should be alert and wise get it diagnosed at the earliest. The delay in diagnosing can pay way to more Reeda Shaikhs .So lets not push the panic button rather lets spread the awareness of the symptoms of Flu and the belief that it is curable among the masses to regain the harmony of the society.

  1. well written...
Even though i may condemn the action of current Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr Narendra Modi, I dont find his actions violating our right to express as this is matter of perception. Some of the contents may be harmful for common man, like pornography, etc similarly the ideology of certain important national leaders cannot be left to Tarnish only because they are dead and cant fight back.
Also as a matter of fact our Rights have been well written with a clause which states that as long as it does not harm, critisize or tarnish or abuse anyperson.
Thus i conclude that instead of banning the book, a more suitable thing would be to include Warnings, Clarifications, or certain censorship instead of cheap act of political milage.

  2. you are absolutely right, freedom of speech and expression is not a absolute right,it has a dilution clause that it should not hinder the rights of others but the constitution also says that if the fundamental rights are violated then one should approach the court. So if someone felt that book denigrated Sardar Vallabhai Patel, then he should have filed a complaint in the court. And I dont think Narendra modi has extra brains or 7th sense to see the unseen in the text of the book(provided if he has read it) ,that tarnished our national leader's image. There are innumerable number of books in the market that criticizes the national freedom struggle leaders ,as far as i know there has not been a single ban on them;best example is the book by Shashi Tharoor India :midnight to millennium ,where he has criticised the Nehru and his family, well i suppose Nehru had a image equvalent to patel .If jaswant singh's book was of that national embarassment then first person to act would have been the P.M ,the President, the home minister. This act of Narendra Modi cannot be justified ,it is totally against democracy.

  3. the content has been yarned very well but some where i felt a biased kind of feeling within the text . Firstly i accept the fact that Bannig a book that too within 48 Hrs of its release is unethical as well as unconstitutional but then as someone mentioned above the freedom of expression has always been misused in modern society as a tool for imagemake over or a easywalk through into podium. It should be noticed that jaswnt sigh has till now not gone against the ban totally!!!So i would say that if someones right has been questioned he has all the authority to fight for his freedom. but when someone is trying to be very subtle in his actions even after so much of repecurssion i seriously doubt about his honesty in respecting the sense responsibilty adhering to the so called"Freedom Of Expression".
